Dance Therapy

It is in motion that we may begin to understand ourselves from the inside out. Our bodies inform our minds, just as our minds inform our bodies. With a variety of movement styles, we take the ride in experiencing the pleasure of movement without judgment or prejudice. Dance is for everyone, and no two people dance the exact same. This is something I honor in our classes. Not only are we holding space to explore / create movement, but also to share the tools to dig into yourself more deeply, ultimately experiencing the catharsis of self expression. Get in tune with the parts of yourself perhaps not yet accessed or neglected. Dance therapy is all about the freedom of movement, connecting back to your inner life and experiencing self discovery. I focus on combining modern technique, free form movement, introspective exercises, and group/partner work to edify the beautiful mover you are! Leave feeling more in relationship with your thoughts, impulses, and feelings, becoming more homogenized to yourself!

Unfolding Into Fluidity: I demonstrate the flow of motion in an exploration of height, spatial awareness, and how body responds to physical alignment and the discovery of feeling through movement.

Pursuit Of Flight: I had a vision to express the pure joy in my heart, of my art. I arrived here, at this temple to do just that. This serves as a thorough example of how movement can heal, narrate the inner life, and allow you to experience catharsis of moving without restriction.


The Arena: a piece that came to me at the end of an arc of mental stagnation. My body needed to sort out this inner conflict of duality, self confidence & self deprecation.
